Tobey passed away December 22 after a lengthy illness, age 85. He appeared in over 100 movies since 1947, and starred in a television series entitled <I>The Whirlybirds</I> (1957-59). He was also noted for starring in several scifi features in the 1950s, including <I>The Thing From Another World</I> (1951).
